    Question about the Ash Borer
Has anyone heard of any type of spray or treatment to kill the ash borer that is killing large numbers of ash trees? Or has anyone heard of a treatment to detour them from the trees or areas?

In connecticut the state agricultural experiment station recommends using bifenthrin, cyfluthrin,or permethrin.Best time to treat is may 1-aug 1 for adult clearwing moth and jun 1-sep 1 exit holes.I would check with your extention co-op for more info. You have to be licensed to spray these in ct. because the chemicals are resticted use.Be careful when spaying.Good luck.
