Ok Here is the issue. I bid a lump sum on a job and got the job. They have never received a lump sum and I have never bid that way. Just curious as to how I should ask to be paid. I suggested to make to payments or else send a statement every month. Any suggestions will help. Thanks

monthly payment due on the first of each month. No invoicing expense this way, they know they owe and should keep up the payment, send a quarterly statement so they know all payments have been applied.
