I have apparently been getting quite a few hits from Romania. I am sure it is some sort of scammer looking for email addresses. Does anyone know how to combat this?

I thought I had read about some way to prevent these people from scanning your site and getting the email addresses on it.

I think he's talking about just visits to his site......

Block the server's ip address, this can be done several diffrent ways.

I'm sure your running a multi processor machine with server software....

    RIGHT ?

if not, you will have to set up a firewall , filters, or simple rules..........

you know that there NOT trying to steal e-mail address RIGHT.

    there stealing processor time....

Dont worry about the Romanians, there mail order brides looking for successful businessmen to marry them.

I have been away for to long, but I figured you would be in the more experienced threads by now...LOL

    Grits,

I didn't know if you already resolved this, but if you own the rights to your site and have control over the domain server then you can block IP addresses using an .htaccess file in the root directory (as long as the server is running Apache software.) Otherwise there is a weak javascript that can be implemented, but if the viewer disables javascript then it won't do you any good.
