Had one. Just sold it a few months ago.

It was 8.5 x 18' dual tandem big tex. great trailer just not practical for what we do. Easier for us to have a dumpster dropped at a job site for debris.

I plan to pick up a smaller one in the near future or a single axle dump truck.

Just remember Josh - if you're going gooseneck, I'm assuming the GVW will be over 10,000#.

Beware that in MD, you're required to have a class A CDL (without airbrake classification).

if you buy new, and it's over 10,000# you could ask the trailer manufacturer to print the spec sticker to say 9,999#.

That only applies if you exceed 26000 as a combined gvwr with a trailer over 10

    A 10 k truck and 16k trailer is fine.

A 26k truck and 12k trailer would need one

    But a 25999 and 9999 truck wouldn't.

I'm not gonna argue with you Wiffy or anyone else.

You are incorrect. They go off the spec sticker on the trailer, no scales involved. We pass through inspection stations weekly. Go through all the levels of inspections. I stand there waiting for our bill of good health to be printed and hear the troopers talk to the other drivers as they issue tickets. And was stopped for an inspection on 695 on Monday :)

I'll leave you guys that don't get inspected or that don't live in MD to type away at how wrong I am.

Josh - if u need more info you can call me at (too four Zero) 674-466 for,

    You're wrong

I'm in maryland. It says right on the handbook that you are WRONG

Did I say anything about scales? Nope they DO go off the sticker. That's the whole point
