Im looking at buying a redmax tr2350s. I have an Echo 265 and its 13.5 lbs. This redmax weighs 9.5 lbs. That sounds amazing this heavy echo is wearing me out after a few yards! I love my friends echo 230 but the redmax dealer is a mile from my house. Anybody have any feedback on the redmax?

Changed from STHIL to REDMAX a couple of yrs. ago. Would not go back have several 2301s , really like them, starts every time better heads. Just feel better balanced. Bought a BG86 STHIL blower this spring because it had a cruise control , used it a while sold it bought another REDMAX.

    Are they really lacking power?

The one I had was the weakest commercial trimmer I have ever used. And I happen to be a big fan of the light, small cc trimmers.

Noted, being a big fan of light small cc trimmers, what else would you recommend? Shindy 222? Husky 223?

I have a 2300 and I love it. I'll probably get a 2301 this year. I had no problems and prefer it over my FS 80. For everyday residential use you can't beat them. If your trimming overgrown ditches and fence rows it won't do, too light and weak for that.

I think I have a 2601, great little trimmer. Got a couple T270's laying around for brush work. As far as the Redmax vs. Echo debate... I'd stick with the RedMax, very reliable machines, good power to weight.

Some of my favorites were the Shindaiwa T230 and Redmax BC225DL. Of course those are long gone. For the past several years I have been using Kawasaki trimmers. Even the larger-engine models are fairly light.

Have a 2301 and love it. Nice and light, and plenty of power for weekly/eow trimming. For brush or rough cut type stuff, you may want something with some more nuts lol, but I like small, light trimmers for normal stuff.

Would it be more powerful than a Stihl FSE 60 you think? Serious question.
