This guy I know is willing to sell me a new Troy Bilt 50" Zero turn for $2400 dollars...

I'm not familiar with that name. Is anyone familiar with Troy Bilt mowers are they poor quality or what?

Troy-Built used to be a good name, but now I think its mostly MTD stuff and the quality suffers. Depending on what you are planning to use it for it maybe a good mower (Home owner use).

Pretty much the same as the CubCadet RZT mower, just in red and black (and possibly blue) paint. Hell, it's a bargain at $2400. Most people trying to sell one can't find a sucker to be willing to pay $2400 for one of those used.

I use to sell the 50" Troy built zero turn mowers. Everyone is telling the truth it is a MTD branded mower. For $2400.00 you could come very close to buying it new at a local Dealership. When I was selling it Last season they sold for about $2699.00. If you are using for home use it will be a good mower. It has a Hydrostatic transmission and a stamped deck. Aluminum spindles and a 22 or 23 hp engine.

edit - you can't post an email address at the site. Thanks, Mike

Go look at some Hustler Fastracs. They are built heavy for a residential/commercial unit. I wouldn't buy a Troybilt.

It's brand new actually. He bought it and never used it. Apparently he only drove it in his driveway.

To answer the question about it's purpose...I'm using it comercially. Probably gonna use it 10-12 hours a week...So not real heavily.

Which is about 4 to 5 times more a week than it was built for. But hey, it's your $2400.
