I'm looking to buy a new bed edger/trencher. I've seen a new product called the Sidehitcher. This unit can be operated alone or quickly attatched to the side of any? mower. Has anyone tried, seen or know anything about this product?

Only one ive seen for the side of mowers was the bedshaper, for grasshopper and walker mowers. I use a brown bededger/trencher and i have no complaints about it. They run around $2200 and is worth every penny.

This machine is new, made by Hitcher Mfg. I did get a small brochure but thats all I know.
Cost about $2100 with versatility to run alongside hydro power machine or as its own unit for smaller tighter areas. Supposed to clean beds and trench. I do like the Brown unit but need to see all options before purchase.
Hoping someone has seen or tried one.??

If you want a great machine for the money, I would agree with the Brown Bed Edger/ cuts a nice deep edge which is depth adjustable, as it cuts, it pulverizes the turf/soil leaving a fine powdery small pile. All u have to do is spread it out with your hand or a rake and remove any excess grass. Weve had nothing but good luck with this machine.

I got a Sidehitcher in 2009 and am really happy with the way it works. It attaches to the mower in just a few seconds with a pin and I can change the angles of the cut. I was able to use it with my old hydro scags and could go through anything!
