If i want to be AOLP certified what do I have to do to start getting certification? What will it cost me? What books or classes do I have to take? Will there be seminars I have to go to? How long will it take? Can I find this on their site?

You asked these questions on this forum in January / February of this year.
You had responses from both the president and vice-president of the AOLP.
Each one agreed to provide information and each gave you contact information.
Did you get in touch with them?

I see you're in ILL. your next opportunity to test for the CLVLT(certified low voltage lighting technician) will be in Orlando FL in February. I believe they are holding year 1 for COLD (certified outdoor lighting designer). My advice would be to earn your CLVLT first. You could sign up for both though, I think. would wnt to make sure the clvlt testing doesn't overlap with COLD classes. Call AOLP, they can give you some info on cost. You would have to get the study guide for the clvlt test and I think that is part of the fee for the certification. I think they are using Janet Moyers book as the text book for COLD class. www.aolponline.org for telephone #
