I have applied it only with a boom sprayer and have recently purchased a tank sprayer....will i get the same evenness of coverage with a hose and gun.

my feeling is it may take some practice before my application will be even

You will never get a more even application from a hand gun than a spray boom and unit. Get a Prolawn sprayer and you will see an even application. I love mine.

I have never sprayed primo with a boom. I only apply with a handgun and have had great results at 2 gal per msf

Practice and enough water as a carrier will be the difference between handgunning and boooming. By running out a little more water per 1ksq, you will be able to "float" your product a little more to make up for uneveness walking and spraying the "Z" pattern so common with handgunning techniques.
