got approached by potential customer to get there lawn back in shape. They have REALLY bad plantain and clover in there yard (among other things). Central jersey, mostly shade.

I was reading the label on my 3 way ester II and it says to wait a minimum of 3-4 weeks after application to seed. Can't find anything that states how soon after I can apply from point of re-seed.

If I apply next week that places me in early/mid october for aeration/overseeding...something I'd like to avoid. I'm looking for some suggestions on how other might approach...different material, skip the broadleaf, etc...

    thx:waving:

2,4-d or drive to take out the weeds, then overseed as early as the following day.

I think it's 2-3 weeks for momentum if I remember right.

Drive is out--wait 28 days after emergence, to spray.

HOWEVER--Drive can be used anytime before seeding. Drive is highly effective on clover, and certain other weeds, plus crabgrass.

Would Drive have an effect on a lawn that was just overseed 2 days ago? Just got new customer that has some areas of heavy crabgrass that I'd like to treat, but he just put down seed on Thursday.

Sorry, read the label after post and reads that it's ok to use at seeding on tall Fescue

I've put down 2,4-d liquid right before seeding and have not had a problem.

Drive is labeled for application before or right after seeding, so that sounds like your best bet. Once your seed germinates you'll have to wait a bit but it sounds like you can do everything you want to do at once.
