Are 21" self propelled mower's wheels just wheels?

    or do you buy them with the gear thingys already in them. Or do you buy just standard wheels and the gear thingys fit into them. I have a honda that a couple of tires are getting pretty bald. Thanks

    you need to just change the rubber on them. That being said, those might be the biggest SOB on the planet to change rubber on...see if you can fool your dealer into doing it!

    When you change your honda wheels ask them about the new design which can be used on older units. There are several parts to the wheel, the outside rubber, the plastic wheel, and the clutch. The rubber is hard to get on but put it in hot water for awhile and then put lube on all parts. Be sure you have the correct side out, or you might have to redo it. Good luck it is a little pain!

    not sure on a harmony, only have had the commercial hydrostats. Those do not have plastic wheels. There must be a part # in your operators manual or maybe online...you'll have to look based on your serial #.

    Buy the wheels from the new HRC216 mower. They are ALOT cheaper! i believe $5-$10 more than just the rubber.
