Whats up yall. Im starting a new lawn service in central texas and was wondering about my blades. I've always bolted up mulchers because they look the knarliest, to be honest. I figured if it tears the cut blade into smaller sizes then why whouldnt i use a mulcher over a regular lift blade. But then, why do company still mass produce regular blades? Must be a reason, what am i missing?

i only use mulching blades during the fall to help with the leaves. i dont think they give a very good cut. i run high lifts the rest of the year.

We use a low lift blade most of the time. We cut warm season grasses.

Mulching blades are best for grinding up dry material...and are a poor choice when conditions are moist/wet.

in my area about 80% of the time we need to bag it, if we let it fly it doesnt break down before the next week and nobody likes to see grass left on thier lawn

I have never used mulching blades.
I see no reason to use them.
