i have a seeding job this weekend and i was thinking of going to the feed mill and picking up #100 of oats to mix in with the seeds.

i have to seed a septic mound and some other crazy terrain.

i figure of i can get the oats to germinate in 3 days i will have better results. oh and it's way cheap

i will still put a little straw over it.

There probably will be weed seed in oats. Only use 25 to 30 pounds per acre.
Oats will really tiller this time of the year and handle a couple frost.
