I am taking look at all the factors (costs) that are changing (increasing) this year. Fuel/oil and insurance seem to be the worst. Having said that, I think I am going to raise my mowing prices about an average of 2.50 per lawn.

What about you, are you raising your prices? And if so, how much?

I raised mine just back in September, so for most customers I'll probably just consider an increase in mid-season. There are a few I'm going to jack up now, but not many.

I raised them all $2 per cut. Nobody complained, I probably could've gone to $3...LOL

IF I do raise any it will be in June or July when they actually need me and it's just convient not to shop for someone new. I doubt I'll raise any, probaly just make the new customers absorb the cost. $27.00 Cut will be $29 or $30

I'm sending out my agreements for 2007-2008 already. I've upped one 10% and the board approved it last week.

The rest I'm keeping at a 5% increase.

I raise them every other year, so it's basically a 2.5% increase each year.

I raise my prices all year round anymore, slowly, methodically, one here, one there. I always raise it on the lowest priced customers and new customers. Those already paying the right price don't see increases usually for 3-5 years at a time because I go by 5-dollar increments.

    This year it's looking like:
    1/4 acre $35
    1/3 acre $40
    1/2 acre $45
    2/3 acre $50
    3/4 acre $55
    full acre $60
Minimum charge $35 (me no drop no gate for less).

No bagging, no 3-foot gated yards (gotta have at least a 4-foot gate), yes sir the bs is over.

I raise them every year by about the amount of inflation 2.5-4%.
