tell me if im wrong! this lady has 48,500 square feet of grass and she wanted it aerated so i gave her a price $35 for the first 5000 square feet and $6 dollars after that for 500 per square feet with taxs it was around $700. she said she got it done last year for $238. i told her to call them (huge lake to work around and a maze of landscape that was breath taking and had a millon dollar home).please give me some feed back on pricing.

walk behind 18 inch blubirds 2 of them

  4. My core aeration rate is $60 for 5M sq.ft. and $10 for each 1M sq.ft. I'll adjust that up or down as I see fit. Did the person who did her lawn last year core aerate? Did they go over it twice, once in each direction?

Is your price derived from a time estimate in any way? I haven't aerated yet, but it sounds like an acre plus would take a whole day with two passes at right angles (half day with two guys--still same price). Say $65/hour billable rate plus your taxes ($520 + tax).

There are so many low ballers in core aeration. When ever you are in doubt call the large corporations and ask them how much they would charge to core aerate 48,000 sf lawn. They will look in their chart and telll you. You will see that your price is very fair. When your price is fair then stick to it. You do not want to go out there and break your back and work for nothing. People who charge low do not know how to estimate. The customers are very smart people. Do not believe everything they say. Maybe they are telling you that so that you give them a low price. Millionaires are fun of doing this.

    5k/ = $85
    10k/ = $150

    then, its your call............. $8/k ~~~ $12/k
