Asv pt60

    I am inquiring an 2008 ASV PT 60 for sale. I dont know the hours yet and am going to be calling tomorrow about it. Anything i should ask about that were problems with these machines

    Get the machine jacked up, either with a jack or using tyhe bucket and loader arms, and grab each roller and check for play. This indicates the bearings are shot and at least for my machine (rc100) each roller assembly is like 400 bucks.

    I wouldn't even consider that machine at that price.

    not to be an ahole but i was simply asking about mechanical concerns with the machine i do agree on your point i have no intentions of paying the full ask price

    Like said Ck the rollers. If you can Ck the oil in the planetaries
    Raise the cab and Ck the belly
    If it's got a turbo, look at the compressor wheel for play and wear

    Look at drive lugs where they join the tracks-any sign of cracks here means the lugs could start tearing out. Motor was prone on early models to blow head gaskets. Watch for any signs of overheating. Not the best motor ever put in a skid steer, mine has been fine, but there are a lot of horror stories out there on this site and others. These are a very productive machine if used in the context it was designed for. Make sure the 2 speed works, I have been through 2 latching relays for the 2speed.

    Not to be an Ahole either......

    But no one one here would buy an ASV in the first place.LOL

    No hours mentioned either.
