I applied Atrimmec to some bushes at the beginning of spring and it has done a good job of slowing growth on several varieties. There are some though that need to be trimmed now. After trimming them within the next few days, would you recommend respraying them to further suppress growth or is that necessary?

Ain't it too hot to spray that now? I use Cutless instead. It's a granular that gets taken up by the plant through the root system. I have a lot of stuff that I haven't pruned since the end of May and it's just now starting to put off new growth.

Oh yea, cut the irrigation off or down in beds with plants that are well established, that helps out a lot too.

That's a good idea on reducing the irrigation.

I checked the label like I should've done to begin with. I found my answer there. I trimmed these particular bushes last fall and treated this spring. Most of the bushes still look good. I'll probably check into the Cutless and do some comparisons next year.

    Thanks Auburn.
