I have small hands, and the grip distance on my TT ECS is kinda far, so I did something that I've been debating for a while. I removed the cusioned grips.

Result is better gripping and less grip distance, and it seems easier control. Has anyone else done this?

No but removing the dumbass switches does the same thing.

I would NEVER recommend removing them, only that it lessons the reach distance without beating up your hands.

I like the way it comes with original, and don't feel or have to change a thing. I use pistol grip also, so the ECS is heaven sent, whatsoever no complaint! I can ride it all day on that ECS/hydro system, no complaint.

I removed the OPC's On the ECS so my hands fit better. i have complained about this till i was blue in the face. I will be putting them back on and hopefully going to another mower company with better grips. Oh the ecs is better with out the opc bar there.

I'm sure the ECS feels great without the OPC, but there is no chance in hell I'm removing it. I have used mowers without the OPC before, and have had MANY close calls -- nearly breaking a leg or WORSE.

Maybe this winter, I'll file down the OPC levers a bit more for an even flusher fit against the handlebars.

Overall, I've never been happy with a mower as much as this ECS TT!

just cut a a groove in the foam or bend the OPC's a bit to your liking...

Yeah, I've thought about that too. But it seems without the foam there, I am getting a tad bit more speed on reverse as well.
