atv question.

    i just had a winch installed on my atv. well i was playing with the winch when the atv wasnt started and now i ran my battery down. is there a way to charge it back up without a battery charger? i've pull started it and ran it for over 30 minutes yet it still wont crank when i push the electric start. thanks

    check to see if a fuse is blown. also the winch may have fried the battery. I have had that happen. Always run winch with machine running. If possible, run at half throttle. Also check all connections. Most ATV charging stytems are around 75 watts.They will not charge a battery, if they do it will take several hours.

    You can charge it with a set of jumper cables and a car, but I suspect your battery is fried...winches are tough on batteries...especially if the battery has some age on it already.

    Yes , how old is the battery? May have been on deaths doorstep before ya ran the wench.

    brand new battery. i guess i'll have to buy me a charger.
