Automatic to insurer?

    Anyone had a client go straight to their insurer? The broken window thread I just read made me think of this. My commercial customers have my insurance info and I suppose they could go to my insurer without my prior knowledge thereby not giving me a chance to take care of any problems.

    I think the insurance company needs to contact you before anything is done. I mean....whats to say that I can't call your insurance company and tell them you broke my car window, even though I was never anywhere near you. There has to be some safeguards somewhere.

    No big deal. Even if they went to your insurer They (your insurance co.) I'm sure would be in contact with you promptly. They are on your side most of the time, They don't want to pay! It happend to me plowing but the customer called me first.

    When you vroke the window why didn't you go to your customer?
