whats a ballpark figure for a set of tracks and replacement of the idler wheels and sprockets? for a bobcat t300.
how about new drive motors? and how long should they last?
i'm just trying to get an idea of what it would cost to redo the undercarriage on these machines. i'm kinda leaning towards a used machine since i wont be using it too much, but if rebuild costs are real high, then i might go new.

    12" or 16" tracks? G- Series machine or a K-Series Machine?

Ballparking...you could easily be looking at 5-7k, more if the drive motors need to be replaced. Track machines can be pretty iffy on the used side, regardless of manufacturer. They are built to be used hard and generally are. Find out as much of the histroy of the machine as you can. A rigid undercarrige (Bobcat, Takeuchi, Case, Deere, Gehl) will usually be less than a suspended undercarriage (Cat, ASV).

I just put tracks and sprokets on my T300. aftermarket on both, from undercarriage specialties. The local bobcat dealer stocks them. Cost me just a tick under $4000 for all. idlers from what I hear "generally" dont go bad often.
