    Hello all!

after 4 long years , I decided to start my biz up again. I had started it in 2001, and shut it down in 2004. I had 40 accounts at the time, along with a full time job. I have missed having my own business, and selling myself, building it.
With my kids grown and gone, I have quit a job I had for 17yrs , took a yr off,
drove a semi around the country for awhile, and now I'm back!
I am Glad to see Sean Adams has done well with this site, and I remember some off you guys when I first started.(Glad to see your still here too!)
I bought two trailers, Two new mowers, and now I have 6 customers. 2nd week cutting. I am dropping a 1000 fliers a week(sunday mornings) advertised in 8 little papers ( not a good idea!) and phone book( not a bad idea) costly though!
anyway, I love it! I'll see ya around, thanks Tim..( Premiere Lawn care and Party
    Tents)

Flyers in local papers are a bad idea, just as you said, little more than 15000 and one call.;)

    Thanks everyone!
I drove semi over the road last year , put on 15 to twenty pounds.
I have Ex-mark 23 horse Kaw, and 1 walk behind 48" ( <---this one will get me back in shape) .
How many account am I shooting for this yr?? hmm.Well, the first yr I started(2001) I had 10 by the end of summer. The second yr I had 40,and kept it there, due to full time job & family. This time I want to go full time, Monday thru Thursday, and set up party tents on weekends. I would like to get 40 to start with, but who knows in this biz. and why is this post in pic you ask..
I don't know, I did the same thing when I first visited this site in 2001. Just glad to be back!! Thanks! Tim

actually, I tried the corp. thing (mortgages) for a year.... hated it AND the 5 sqt. cubical they put me in.
Then I worked for a landscaper for year. Hated that even more.
Then I installed highend audio/video and home theaters. That was cool, but company was very unorganized.... hurt em', downsized, got laid off. Then got back into the biz down here.

    Hey Carolina Cuts,
After 20 some yrs in retail sales, and a married for 18 or 19 yrs, Wife took off,
Left me with kids & dog. Kids finally moved on and have there families, and I still
have this great dumb ole dog. and just decided I really like being my own boss, being outside, enjoy meeting new people, and with no one to look after ,I thought I'd see if I could build it bigger than the last biz. I think it's harder this time around though, people here in Michigan are really hurting for jobs.
I guess I'll have to be more creative.
