Backflow Theft Preventor

    For you guys who use PVB's and RPZ's, Don't you have your first shutoff line well below grade, or inside a basement?

    If so, a locking valvebox would be a lot cheaper than something like this, and just remove the device and store it during the cold months.

    If a fool tries to steal it with the lines hot, well then he gets what he deserves :)

    My solution would simply be a bicycle U-Lock looped over the first elbow. That way you could not spin the elbow off.

    If they want to steal it, they are going to bring a chopsaw, which would make short work of the hollow legs that Backflow protecter device has anyways.
