SORRY I forget who posted about the Bad Boy deck, but here is what my deck looks like at the end of a day of mowing.

This Picture is on the Chute Opening:

This is how much I scrap out daily from the deck

This last picture is of the weird wear pattern of my blades I think caused by how the deck builds up , but notice how it dips in the middle of the cutting surface. These blades are less than a week old.

Not complaining, but the individual had a new deck and thought the grass will never build up. Yes it does, and as soon as the paint wear off that new deck, you can look forward to this daily chore. It only takes 10-minutes, but YOU MUST DO IT DAILY or the buildup gets crazy and as hard as concrete!!!

That is more than my Toro gets in two weeks. That's crazy.

Mow a lot of soggy grass. We have had a lot of rain all season. Grass has been growing crazy fast! 4 to 5" in a week. Its sticky too! Accidentally get some on a house or car, and you better have your power washer, and I do, cause you are NOT going to blow it off, you are going to wash it off.

We had a bunch of rain up until August. I did get build up quicker than normal, but nothing like that. That still seems like more build up than there should be for just one day.

I don't know... its normal for me, and that's roughly after 5-acres, maybe 6.

Even in the late Spring, early Summer, I don't get that kind of buildup under my BB deck. That time of year, however, I don't mow in the morning.

BTW, it doesn't appear that the mower in the picture has very freshly sharpened blades. Does it do the same thing with a fresh sharpening?

Thats crazy. I scrape once a week even when mowing in the rain. During the summer I may go 3 weeks before I need to scrape.... Just plain wow

I run a mulch kit on my exmark vantage. This spring it rained almost daily. I never had that much. I cut lawns now after the sprinkler goes off. Never nothing like that.

This year the grass is really sticky. BUT if you examine that build up, you will see a lot of mud. In fact I'd say its a pretty good mix of dirt and grass, and the reason, if you don't scrap it off daily, it will literally harden like a rock.

You can also tell from the pictures is that grass is wet! If I was to wait until all the dew was off the grass, I wouldn't get started cutting until noon.

Those blades are less than a week old, and they are worn like that.
