From what I have been told the mowers at TSC are all the home-owner grade mowers. So I guess they would compare to exmark's residential ztr, but not to any commercial mower, exmark or not.

Tractor Supply pays Bad Boy to carry their ZT & PUP series ZTR's :) With a BB ZT or Pup you get the same deck as the AOS diesel line up'; which is a commercial grade ADS mower deck & spindles, the ZT & Pup also offer's 48" 54" or 60" deck size options. BB decks are ALL 1/4" or 3 .ga thick , electric deck lift, greaseable zerk fittings on the ZTR frame. Engines options are Kawaski, Kohler, or Briggs Vanguard 23hp, 26hp, and a best in class 30hp:dizzy:. At any level Bad Boy offers more for your money, period.

The eXmark Quest would be a compareable to the Bad Boy ZT or Pup.

the eXmark quest offers only a 42" deck, and one engine option, the Briggs ELS engine in 20,22 or 24hp

I own a bad boy an I have had it for going on 2 years now an I havent had any major problems from it. The service though I must say sucks. But thats a dealer issue an not a bad boy problem.

Love mine. Had a 26hp lightning for a year and its an awesome machine. Got a great dealer locally. got about 60 hours on mine due to an injury last spring and not being able to push business like i wanted.

The Exmark Quest comes in a 48 and 52 inch cut. Can come with a 22 and 24 hp Briggs els, or a 23 hp Kohler command. I have the sales pamplet right in front of me. The 52" 24 hp was priced around 4500 here at local dealers.

Not trying to butt in, just trying to clarify.

I think its a really good mower at TSC for homeowners with big yards, I really try to talk my commercial guys into buying the pups or lightnings, but we have a few using them as well. I would strongly recommend the 27hp Kohler over the 26hp briggs though, we are having really good luck with them. For a mower in the $5000 range with a 7 guage deck you wont find anything close. To some manufactures specks, some companies would call it a semi-commercial mower. It has the zt2800 transaxle hydro system on it. I would personnally try to buy from a dealer close by because he will be the one servicing for you anyways.

If you need to stay around the 5000 mark I would also go check out the Scag freedom z. I got my 52 inch, 26 horse briggs els for 5199.
It also has the 7 gauge deck and has the roll bar.
It is a good mix between res and light commercial.

Yeah, the zt 26hp Briggs 50" is $4695, and the 27hp Kohler 50" is $5295, but no roll bar. I like the kawasaki option a lot more than the briggs on the freedom, but thats just me, and you would be spending alot more
