Bagged my first Sod lawn

    I bagged my first sod lawn today. Only about 12,000 sq ft. WAS NOT FUN!!! I have bagged many lawns that sized before, and to what appeared as that thickness. WRONG! I ended having over 20 bags of grass from this lawn with my 48" walkbehind. What should have been only 30 mins turned into almost 1 1/2 hours

    Why didn't you cut it w/o a bag first let the clippings dry out while you cut another part then recut with the catcher. You will pick up less and takes less time.

    that wouldn't have helped. I thought of that as well.

    I have done that tecnique many of times, but for this particular lawn it would not have worked

    if you would have saw the lawn you would have a different opinion, trust me

    i do that w/ every lawn that i catch...i shoot to certain spot(s), and then collect from there...less clippings...works on any lawn..
