bamboo planting question

    this spring a client and i was planing to plant bamboo around his camp site in the mountains of pa.(he wonts privacy)
    the area is little rocky- some soil and some shade.
    will it take?
    i was planing on digging some shoots from a bamboo patch that a friend has and re planting them up the mountains...
    think it will work?

    I HATE bamboo! There are many varieties that will thrive in shade.

    bamboo will need to watered the first two weeks a lot i have found out that if you what two days and leave inside of a papper wrap watered down inside somewhere dark and then plant inside with a good plainting soil...
