Battery life in a Armada Pro 700 wire tracer

    Thanks for all of the answers/input but this is what I was looking for.
    I'll track the usage a bit more closely and see if it is the machine or my own stupidity.

    If it is the high current draw that is shortening battery life, there may be some use for the newer style of NiMH battery that is designed to not lose its charge.

    The battery was dead in my 800 and would not take a charge at all. After some looking around i turned the power strip on and son of a gun, it's charging.

    I guess i am going to be forced to make a power strip checklist

    1) plug power strip into line voltage outlet.
    2) plug transformer into power strip.
    3) turn the power strip on, you stupid.
    4) write self note to check in 4 hrs.
    5) try to remember what i needed the locator for.
