    I need a rebuilt or used gear box for a befco 250 tiller has a cast iron housing
    and can be sideshifted
    my box is rebuildable what I need most is the crown gear(ring gear) pinon gear mine are history
    any help would be helpful
    oo I can buy a new for around 800 plus shipping thats too much

    I hate to say this but about the only place you will find that part is at a Befco dealer or atleast thats the only place I know of. There may be an aftermarket distributor to find cheaper parts for Befco that i'm not aware of though.

    Befco products are made an hour east of here in Rocky Mount, NC.

    Most all the local JD dealers around here can get you Befco parts. Let me know what you need and I will see if I can locate the part for you the next time I happen to go to the dealer.

    As far as parts themselves, I'd check some industrial supply places like Agri-Supply and Granger and Napa.
