Before and after dump truck pics

    Picked up a 1987 R30 Dumper with a 5.7L fuel injected engine, Turbo 400 tranny with 78,000 original miles. Spent about $1700 on her and here are the results.

    Very nice job fixing that truck up. The 73-87 Chevys were darn good trucks. Did you replace the rocker panels or use body filler? Best of luck.

    Rockers, Doors, Hood, Fenders all new sheetmetal.
    Dump body was sandblasted, primed and painted

    Looks like a brand new one. I like the chrome wheels, too. Sharp truck.

    So how much total did she cost you?

    Bought the truck for $2500 with the plow, add in the $1700 and I have $4200 into it, plus 4 full days work.

    Very nice job. It looks great.

    Did you replace the amber lens on the pass side plow light? I can't tell from the pic:)

    Chrome mirrors and wheel simulator give it a nice touch.

    Yup, I did. The $1700 includes, new door seals, panels, side marker lights, paint, primer, 4 tires and stainless wheel liners, Stainless mirror kit new (ebay $75), Rear U joint, a few odds and ends at a boneyard, new tailgate fabricated by welder (old was rotted and had the 3 mason chutes), and 10 cups of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
