I have two old bobcat belt drive walk behinds. Both cut great, but tha trans goes in and out of engagement wen I run in 4th and 5th gear. Also, the tension on the drive belts keep slackin even after I've adjusted tge brake and pistol grip levers

    Anyone know wat causes this?

You may want to try replacing the springs that put tension on the belts. I don't miss my belt drive Scags at all. Four hydro machines now and loving it.

yeah hydro is the way to go. if i wasn't such an impuls buyer i wouldn't have bought that 36" metro i bought when i first started. i would have got a viking instead.

i'd like to replace the metro with a 36" grandstand but considering i only use the metro for 3 backyards a week the price of the grandstand is not a smart business move.
