Im looking into buying a belt drive 36" walk behind. I was wondering if you could ride on a sulky with a belt droven mower? would it hurt the mower? or put alot of wear on it? Im about 130 pounds, so im pretty light. Is sulky's only made for hydro mowers???

The drive system on most 36" mowers is the same from 36-52" so the additional weight shouldn't be a factor.

You may find the front-end of the mower is light and it may occationally lift the cator wheels a little.

Your light weight would certainly limit the wear/tear factor.

Certainly sulkies have been used with great success on belt-drives.

  3. You can put a velke on that mower, I have a Lesco 36" with one on it for 7 years not one problem.

The rest of my mowers are all hydros'

Also get a www.materchute.com for this mower, what a time saver, but it will be a little tricky to hook up, but it can be done.
