Belt slip preventative?

    I saw a thread before about a spray you can get that will make the belts extra sensitive when you spary it on. I did a search for but coulnt find the thread and was wondering if anyone knew the name of the stuff?

    they sell (belt dressing) at auto parts stores

    1- Why is it slipping?

    2- Hair Spray works fine

    It was belt dressing. Probably the post I made a few weeks back. Several companies make this, but Permatex is one of the most commom. Just a squirt of about an inch on each side of the belt is all you need. It spreads, and is very tacky. Don't spray the whole belt, because the stuff drips, sprays everywhere, and the belt stays wet and slippery for to long. Like I say, just a little bit, and it dries very quickly.
