bermuda fungus or insect

    I have several lawns in one neighborhood that have turf damage. The sings are brown spots 1 to 3 inches in diameter and there is a light web that can be seen when there is moisture in the ground.These lawns are treated by fert companies.nad the problem comes back each year.

    Sounds like a disease. Maybe Dollar Spot. Look for the hour-glass shaped lesions on individual leaves.....

    Definatly sounds like dollar spot. Usually low N, low PH, and lack of H2O are to blame. Dollar spot can be treated with a fungicide but will develop a resistance to it if used repeatedly. Usually you can "grow" dollar spot out if you apply the proper amount of N and water appropriately, although that will depend some on your cutting height
