I have a neighbors lawn that was formerly tall fescue, and 2 years ago someone seeded bermuda into it. Naturally, the bermuda took over most of the lawn. I know that bermuda has a vine root system, but the roots are growing on top of the lawn. I believe at least part of the problem may be that the lawn has not been aerated in 10+ years, and because the soil is so compact, the roots cannot grow underneath but rather on top. Am I way off? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.:usflag:
Btw the only reason there is that patch in the middle is because he pulled some of the roots out.
