Ford or Chevy, each one has their strong and weak points. There is no correct answer for this question per se. However I am in love with my exmark metro 36 w/ pistol grips. It set me back $2000.
I've owned Skag, John Deere, and Exmark 36 walk behinds.
I'm happiest with the Exmark. They were all good machines, but imo the exmark hydro is the way to go. The cut is perfect and its features are great.
