I would appreciate any information on the following mowers cut quality at 2 inches for non-plush yards composed of fescue, burmuda, clover and other native grasses. Also, is scalping a problem with these decks at that height?

Scag tiger cub 48 inch velocity deck
    Exmark 46 inch triton deck
    Hustler 52 inch mini z
    Hustler 48 inch fastrak
    Toro 48 inch turbo force
Cub cadet tank 48 inch command cut.

I am willing to spend from $5,000 to $7,000 but do not want to make a mistake and end up with a deck that was not designed to cut the way I want to cut. Thanks in advance.

as you know t ocut at 2" you had better have it level " the truff that is"

Cant give ya feed back on all the mowers listed BUT the triton deck is NOT what you want,

I have used one and didn't like it, The exmark with the ultra cut deck would be fine.
that's what I run, we scalp this time of the year. and it does well.

    Good Luck

I cut my lawn at 2.25" with a 7-Iron II deck this morning and it did a fine job. The only scalping was my own fault for riding a drainage rut without raising the deck.
