I like the Kawi vertical shafts and Kohler horozontal shafts. My 14, 19, and 21 HP vert. Kawis and my 25 HP hor. Kohler have never let me down. My buddy has had nothing but issues out of his 27 HP vert. Kohler and nothing against Kawi verts just stuck with what works.

look at the majority of mowers and ask yourself why is Kawi the engine that's more commonly used on commercial mowers?

Kawasakis have proven themselves they are very reliable and have never let me down.

I dont agree that Kawi has the majority of the market. I think its about 50/50 with alittle B&S in there. Also to add my 25HP Kohler uses less fuel and my 19 and 21 HP Kawi.

Thats true The reason they offer them on mowers cuz they are cheap motors
Companies offer Kaw and Kohler on there mowers Kaw is on the cheaper line Kohler be on high end line
Way it was with DC when they offer the Kaw on there mowers
    Generac is good motor but
EFI Kohler is hard to beat
I had 1 B&S only lasted 500 hrs last one I ever owned

I have never had a vanguard. Just kind of scary that I'd look back and have the same brand of engine that's on my neighbors push mower. Not knocking them, since I've never had one, but just not been out long enough for me to put my living on. I do like both kawis and kohler and each one has its pros and cons. This is just a personal thing kindof like what brand truck you like.

I prefer carb. Guess I'm just stuck in my ways and on something I know how to work on.
