Best Ground Cover?

    Hi guys,I need help please.I have a large are that I need to put some type of ground cover on.Right now the area is bear soil.I need something that will inhibit weed growth and help prevent erosion.I can't water the area so I will have to depend on rain.Any ideas,please?Thanks,BASIC.

    I would try a yellow Sedum or Ivy. I have successfully worked with the Sedum around my house and friends. It grows thick and very tolerable to any environment, and it grows like crazy.

    depends on site. If it not a landscape bed i would install crownvetch great cover but will spread beyond orginal beds if in the landscape. Sweetpea is also another great groundcover if you can get is started.

    crown vetch will dominate anyand everything. it is also very,very expensive seed.

    expensive seed but you only need about 2-3 pounds per 1000 square foot. it looks really nice even though it will take control of everthing.

    Thanyou for your suggestions.Are there any types of grass that would work in the conditions I listed?

    did i forgetto mention it costs like 1.000$$ per 50 lb.?
