I'd go get one of those Hondas from Sam's Club. On sale for 289. If you had a lot of push mowing though, I'd recommend a good commercial mower. Since you said you don't push mow a lot, nearly any push mower will do, even the $100 rigs from Lowes/HD.

heck I have an old yard machine i garbage picked three years ago, ran fine then, runs fine now. Normally I'm pretty picky on good quality equipment, but I've grown attached to the red turd. Plus it bags...

If you want to spend some money get a toro commercial. In the 1100s range but well worth it for daily use.

Toro, Honda, Snapper. All good choices.
You get what you pay for as far as equipment goes.

not really, your way better of with a 100 dollar home depot one than a 4-500vdollar Lawn-Toy or Husqvarna. This I know from experience.

I sort agree we have the $1K version Snapper on each trailer and they get all tore up in about 2 years. I bet if we got a simple push Snapper at around $400 with no bagging simple mulcher it would be just fine.

I agree. I have the 450 snapper mulcher with sp. Like it better than the snapper comm. But the toro comm. is a great mower.

I was talking generally - an $1000 mower will usually last a heck of a lot longer than a $100 mower from Wal-Mart.

As far as residential models go, they're all pretty much the same quality. So yeah, you probably are just as well off with a $100 Bolens than a $400 Lawn- boy.

Now, the commercial Lawn-boys are a different animal altogether. :weightlifter:
