Best Stihl Chainsaw Chain?

    For a Stihl ms290 or 029 a 026 RM chain is the best all around chain. The 026 RM3 is the low kickback version. Make sure to remove enough of your drags or the chains dull faster as they scrape across the tree and do not bite.

    Depending on what I'm cutting, I'll run the file on the chain every 1 or 2 tanks of fuel. Try this instead of waiting for the chain to get real dull.

    Same. With a sharp file it only takes 3 strokes a tooth or so to touch it up.
