What is the best way to find manual drains on manual drain systems. Use a wire tracker? Need some advice?

No real good/easy way. You can try a locator to find the end of the main, but they may not be there.

Maybe try using a metal detector around the low areas of the turf?

One secret irrigator trick - if water is standing in a yard, walk through it barefoot. When the water gets cooler, you are closer to the leak.
