Just home from a dealer here that I like...

Trade value for mine is the same on both.

    Comparing:

    2006 John Deere 727A 23 horse/Kaw 54" 7 Iron 2 Deck for $7300 before trade

    or

2005 Scag Wild Cat 25 horse/Kaw 52" Advantage Deck for $7400 before trade

Scag is left over and the last one, I can get the JD anytime for that price.

If I want to complicate it, the Kubota dealer toady had a:

    2006 Kubota ZG 23 with 23 horse Kohl/54" deck for $6999

    or

2005 Ferris (early model with no ROPS) 1500Z 19 horse Kaw/48" deck for $5500.

The Kubota dealer gives me about $500 less in trade value though.

What seems to be the best deal for a residential guy. I like both dealers and they have both been there a long time.

    Thanks for the wisdom!!

Not sure about anyone else here, but the price on the Deere seems a little high to me. I have been comparing Deere (737 and 757) and Kubota for the last few weeks. I have prices on the 2 bigger models that I have been looking at that are pretty close to the price you have on the 727.

I decided on a Kubota ZD18 by the way.

Thanks, I will do some more checking on Deere in the area. There are tons of JD dealers here in central Indiana.

Does anyone think the 05 Wildcat could be a little better price.

    Thanks,

    Ty

I agree also. I haven't had any reason to look in a good while, but last time I did, the sticker price on a JD 757 60" was less than the final price given to you for a 727.

Out of those choices, I would lean towards the Scag I think.
