Does anyone know if it would be just better to buy one of those 4cycle trimmers ive scene around or going with the old 2cycles. It seems to me that a 4cycle would last longer than the 2

I just bought a stihl 4 mix trimmer about 3 months ago and I love it. It has a lot more power and is much more quiet than my 2 cycle equipment. As far as durability is concerned...I'll have to wait and see, but a 4 stroke engine should outlast a 2 stroke. The only drawback to the 4 stroke is more maintenance (valve adjustments every 130 hours or so), but that's no big deal if you can do it yourself. Eventually 4 stroke is all that the big manufacturers will offer, since the EPA regs get tighter every year.
