    Hi everyone,
Well, I am set to bid my first commercial account, and wanted to know what you would all bid. This account is pretty much guranteed for me, since i have worked at the company for like 15 years, but I wanted to go in with a reasonable price, yet not short change myself. I wrote up a contract and quote already, but wanted to know what you would all charge. Here's the deal:

7500 sq. ft of mowing (1 pond like section, no water, just a big ditch to mow)

    100 feet trimming

    120 feet of edging

12 small (5 ft) bushes to trim

I based operation from March 15 to November 15, or about 35 mows

    4 times fertilizer

    2 times aerate + overseed

    And the bid is........................

Thanks Guys, I am hoping to get some great advice here, as always.

    $2250 per year?

You can get 35 cuts/year up there? That's a lot.

I have never had 35 cuts. Average is 20+, maybe 25.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I should have said 35 weeks, which is the total time I will be obligated to. Depending on how early we warm up, how late it gets cold, it could go 35, but usually will not.
Like this year, we've seen crews out in December!

    Keep the quotes coming in.

No Pre-m on the fertilizer, and I will edge as needed, probably every 2-3 weeks.

Bushes I planned on doing 3 or 4 times, depending on the necessary upkeep so they never look straggly.

    Thanks everyone.
I'm going to talk to them on lunch today, so hopefully I'll get an answer on it soon, keep the quotes coming in!

2K for the year...slightly higher if you say you have no competition.

I think bravesfan is right on. I got $2,048 with 32 mowings 2x on the shrubs.

    Thanks for the help guys.
I just dropped off my quote, and I came up with $2225.00 for the year. I was happy to see I was right in the ballpark with the general consensus.
I am eager to tackle this first commercial job, and get familiar with the area, and as always, hopefully spread out!

Keep the thoughts coming though, it's a good practice to see what the going rates are.
