Hey guys, great info on this site- thanks
My partner and I bid on a lawn, the lady wants the backyard ( 65 by 65 )
raked of the rocks, mainly small ones, seed and straw put down.No top soil
we bid 245 and got it, she also asked for fertilization, we bid and got 65 per
application, 4 apps, just scotts. This is a brand new house and neighborhood,
we think we're getting the cutting too for 35- pretty small front.
The cost of seed- 38, straw-32, fertilizer-40 per app
    Thanks
    Clean Cut

At 8-10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. seed application rate, you should have approximately 35 lbs. of seed which would make your seed cost low. Unless you are getting it cheaper than wholesale. I think you will find that raking the back yard it a very time consuming process. All in all when the job is said and done I highly doubt you will make any money on that project, but it seems like you will be making a killing on the fertilizer applications.
