LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW SEASON. LAST YEAR MANY CUSTOMERS WERE RECEIVING 6+ BIDS. WE WILL NOT BE PLAYING THAT GAME THIS YEAR, WE HAVE DECIDED TO PRE-SCREEN AND PRE_QUALIFY ALL POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. WE DON'T MIND A FEW BIDS BUT WITH SO MANY BIDS CUSTOMERS ARE NOT COMPARING APPLES TO APPLES AND MAY NOT BE MAKING INFORMED DECISIONS.

just ribbing ya. seriously, though, how are you going to "prescreen" your customers? by "customers" do you mean residential or commercial? what is going to be the deciding factor that you would not accept a customer?

I am speaking about homeowners and construction work.New home installations, paver patios etc.
Is someone willing to sit down for a digital image presentation, are they willing to pay for a scale drawing or imagery. Are they truly interested in having their property improved by a landscape design architect or do they simply want free design ideas?
Our ROI last year was greater with customers who purchased full designs.

Good luck in the new season.

What are some specific things you are going to do to screen your ptoential clients? Do you ask them if they are receiving other quotes?
