wel i went out and measured all the beds for decorative stone (what was already there) and for mulch (also what was there) all the beds looked like ****, like they hadnt been mulched at all the previous year. none of the jobs looked ridiculous as i walked through them, and measured, but i got done doing the mulch bids and im at $8000 for around 150 yards of mulch, but man looking at jobs ive done before seems like im way off but ive done all my math twice and i even remeasured some beds...this is just for mulch, no stone at all

im thinking theyre gonna have 12000 in stone....once again looks like it hasnt been done, lots of crap in all the beds, etc.

but looking at the requirements of the bank, i would imagine the previous property maintenance company was fired, if not, they shouldvhave been.

im bidding it at 3 inches because so many of the beds look like they all need redone from scratch

i'm a 1 man show except for when i mulch, then its me and 2 friends

just for the mulch alone i would be at $6000
    labor to spread mulch $5000

$11000 seems high but roughly $4000 goes right to uncle sam

What does income tax have to do with bidding a job?

Im still missing how $4000 of his bid will go to tax

Sorry, if he is only charging $8000 then ($8000 x .4)= $3200 of income tax on a check that he deposits for $8000.

are you talking 8k for the mulch and labor included or just for the cost of mulch?? my labor alone for 150 yards of mulch would be 9k not including the cost of the mulch.
