Anybody using these materials as their general use insecticides? How do you like them?
Both products are pretty much identical, if you like the name syngenta or if you rely on thier backing then go with scimitar, if you don't need thier support then buy the China generic.
Scimitar is Lambda-cyhalothrin (Syngenta).
Bifen XTS is....Bifenthrin (originally Talstar/FMC) post-patent.
Scimitar offers quicker knock down - Befenthrin lasts a little longer.
So it depends on your situation which will work better for you.
Scimitar is now available as a post-patent. United Phosphorus = Lambda-Cy = nice price.
PSU, for the Scimitar I would go with a generic. I should've just asked about the chemical itself. I've never used it before.
In the past I've used Talstar/ Bifen I/T. Someone told me recently that the XTS formulation offered a longer residual, is that true? For borers I've been using Onyx but it's spendy for general use.
Bifen XTS seems to have a strong repellent factor much like Talstar. What about Scimitar?????
