Just wondering if anyone has used any fixtures from the new BK led line, BKSSL. From what i'm understanding is it's a built in LED with changeable optics and you can change light output by adjusting a dial inside of the fixture? The company I work for is looking to spec out winona wells which are very similar to the bk's well but my boss is afraid to go with the LED from winona because you will have to change the whole fixture if beam spead or light output needs to be changed after installation. I recommended using BK but I just want to make sure I have all the information correct before I push him to get em'. Gimme some feedback people!

So you have 233 views and not a single reply until now. Can you guess why?

I don't know of anyone who uses BK, let alone used it myself.

I too would be concerned with locking myself into a fixture, which is why recommending another line would be a good move. Recommending one you haven't worked with before is not the way to go though.

Tell us the application, and you might get more responses, and fewer lurkers. Is it going in hardscape, lawn, or planter beds? What finish do they need? There are a lot of manufacturers out there, and someone makes the best one for your project. More info, and we can narrow it down.

Thank you for the response viewpoint. Mostly the reason why we use winona and bk well lights is because of the landscape architects we do work for love to spec them. They are the most heavy duty wells I have used and are also damn expensive. I guess I should of been more clear in my original post, we use fixtures from companies all across the board. This job is going to winona well lights with brass grates. We wanted to use all led but winonas LEDs really aren't practical. I knew bk released a new led line and since they're well lights are basically the exact same fixture, I ust wanted somefeedback on how bks led system worksed ( it looks awesome) sorry if this looks like one huge run on sentence writing it at work from my pphone. Thanks again for the reply.

I don't get too many bids from architects, they tend to use electricians for install, and they always spec crazy NASA like fixtures I have never heard of or used. And trying to tell them how to do the lighting better than what they spec and where they put it is like pushing a wheelbarrow with a rope.
